英米単語の違い１５３「♯記号」「（車の）ナンバープレート」

アメリカ英語とイギリス英語では単語が異なるものがあることは知っていますね。

アパートのアメリカ英語はapartmentでイギリス英語ではflat

１階のアメリカ英語はfirst floordでイギリス英語ではground floor

これ以外にも沢山あるので、この英米単語の違いシリーズで覚えていきましょう。

例

I called customer service and they told me to press the hash botton.

(カスタマーセンターに電話したら、♯記号を押せと言われた）

I looked all over my phone, but couldn't find it.

（電話のどこを見てもそんなものは見当たらない）
